Peer Pressure

What is Peer Pressure?

Making decisions are part of what you face every day. Some decisions are as easy as should I drink a second bottle of Coca-Cola and as challenging as should I lie to my parents, cheat, cut class, smoke, take alcohol or do drugs, make money fraudulently, fornicate, pressure to get married, lifestyle etc.
When other people (your age mates) get involved in how you make your decisions and try to convince (pressure) you in one way or another in order to act or get you to do something you would not usually do or even want to do, it becomes peer pressure. The pressure can come in their actions or words.
The Bible does not use the word “peer pressure”, it is another name for facing temptation.
The dictionary defines people who are your age mates as your peers.
